Alexis serves as the Programs Officer for the Scholars & Young Scholars Programs at SEEDS Access Changes Everything. Alexis was born and raised in the City of Newark, NJ. She attended Rutgers University Newark, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Alexis is currently completing her Master’s in Public Administration at Rutgers Newark. Before joining SEEDS, Alexis worked with the Center for PreCollege Programs at Rutgers University Newark. She served as a college mentor at the Center, assisting high school scholars in transition into higher education. Alexis is an Aspen Young Leader Fellow, Honors Living Learning Community Alum, and is a Proud Member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. Alexis’ goal in life is to continue to impact students who have a similar upbringing to her, intending to change, inspire, and enhance their future. One of her favorite quotes is, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today” -Malcolm X
