Joanna Ray joined SEEDS – Access Changes Everything in 2024. She is an experienced non-profit and government leader and most recently served as the Senior Director for Board Relations at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Prior to her work at NRDC, Joanna worked as the Deputy Director for the Mayor’s Office of Appointments in New York City. She also served in the Obama White House as the Director and Advisor for Boards, Commissions, and Presidential Delegations. Before entering public service, she was the Associate Director for Student Chapters at the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant for BlackRock, Inc., in the communications and legal departments, and for a variety of projects in the film and television industry. Joanna received a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. from Indiana University, Bloomington.
