Naima serves as Director of Programs at SEEDS. A dynamic leader and visionary, she has worked tirelessly to improve the community she has been a part of since the age of two. In 2013, Naima was elected Vice President of the Roselle Board of Education, making her the youngest elected official in her hometown of Roselle, NJ. Presently, she serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts Heart of NJ and is also a proud and active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Gamma Omicron Zeta Chapter.

Naima graduated from William Paterson University where she was recently appointed to the Alumni Executive Council and serves as Vice President of the Young Alumni Council. She earned her master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration, as well as a doctorate in Higher Education Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University. While Naima works for the public at large, she also works to enhance the development of young men and women – molding a whole new generation of leaders – through effective career coaching and professional development.

Previously, Naima served as Director of Student Engagement at Saint Elizabeth University and was responsible for the holistic growth and development of students in and outside of the classroom. For the past five years, she has graced InsiderNJ’s African American Power List and was most recently presented the “Role Model of the Year” award by the Roselle Branch NAACP.

Naima’s primary goal in life is to cultivate young men and women into the leaders of tomorrow. She believes in leading by example and believes wholeheartedly that education today paves the way for a successful tomorrow. Her motto is a quote by Nelson Mandela: “… Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
