Rising seniors in SEEDS’ College Scholars Program left for Hobart and William Smith Colleges on June 25 for a three-week residency. During SEEDS’ Summer Collegiate Experience, College Scholars got to experience campus life. College Scholars’ summer curriculum focused heavily on writing. Students took college-level coursework in English and critical reading, while also taking daily writing lab seminars, which allowed them time to focus on drafting college personal statements. College Scholars continued to learn about college admissions and college life through a daily College 201 course. College Scholars also participated in a number of fun projects, including building bridges from toothpicks and a decorating cake competition, in addition to the annual SEEDS Olympics and Talent Show.
