Knowing the benefits through her own life as an alumni of the SEEDS’ Scholars Program in 1998, Dr. Carol Pak-Teng is now proud to serve on the Board of Trustees to New Jersey SEEDS. She continued on to George School (2002) and NYU (2006) as the first in her family to attend college. She then completed her Medical Degree from New York Medical College in 2012 and now works as an Emergency Physician in Jersey City, NJ. Nationally, she also sits on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
She has been acknowledged for her work by the Academy for Women in Academic Emergency Medicine as the 2015 Outstanding Resident at Mt. Sinai St.Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. She has also received accolades for her work in Political Psychology and Asian American Studies at NYU. At the local level, she serves on the Board of Speak Up Summit, a community advisory to the Board of Education.
