On April 12, 2018, New Jersey SEEDS hosted its annual Leading Change Benefit (watch a recap), and honored William V. Engel, Esq. and alumna Neha Pathak. (View photos.)
Thanks to our generous friends, SEEDS’ Leading Change Benefit raised more than $750,000 in support of our scholars. After a strolling dinner with a silent auction and lively conversation among guests, the formal program began. Attendees heard from several graduates about their SEEDS experiences: Esther Clovis (SEEDS ’04, Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child ’08, Princeton University ’12, University of Pennsylvania School of Law), Brandon Henry (SEEDS ’16, The Lawrenceville School ’20), Navjit Kaur (SEEDS ’17, Franklin & Marshall ’21), Isadora Martinez (SEEDS ’17, Newark Academy ’24), and Roberto Montesdeoca (SEEDS ’14, Delbarton School ’18).
Guests were then introduced to Courtney (SEEDS ’16) and Erin (SEEDS ’14) Crowder, and their mom, Afia Bosompem, who shared their family’s story. The evening wrapped up with a presentation of awards to the night’s Leading Change honorees, William V. Engel, Esq. and Neha Pathak (SEEDS ’94).
Thanks to everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening of celebration! Couldn’t join us that evening? Be sure to view event photos, watch our recap video and check out our social media team’s perspective of the night on Facebook!
