Kara first joined SEEDS in 2017 as a member of the faculty for the Summer Challenge Program and Capstone Experience. As the Director of Academics, Kara’s extensive classroom experience informs her approach to curriculum development and implementation.

In addition to her work with SEEDS, Kara teaches in the English Department at Boston College. She earned her PhD in early modern literature from Tufts University and her MAT from Union College. Kara’s academic work focuses on witchcraft and the occult with a particular emphasis on the formation and transmission of knowledge. At SEEDS, she uses her training in literature and education to ensure that students have the skills they need to succeed at every stage in their journey.
