Vice President, Development
Luis Arias is VP of Development at SEEDS, where he works closely with the President and CEO, Chief of Staff, and senior leadership to provide strategic guidance and support on behalf of the dedicated Development team.
Luis has over 18 years of development experience and has led fundraising efforts in partnership with foundations, corporations, government and multilateral organizations, as well as managing multi-year individual campaign efforts. Prior to joining SEEDS Luis served as the Director of Institutional Philanthropy at the International Refugee Assistance Project where he was responsible for donor cultivation and stewardship, strategic planning, and board partnerships while managing a multimillion-dollar institutional portfolio. He currently serves as an advisory board member of the Marfan Foundation.
Luis grew up in Bergen County and has committed himself to supporting organizations that provide advocacy and access to those who need it. Luis earned a BA from Fairfield University and an MS in International Relations with a focus on Public Policy from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He currently lives in Bloomfield with his wife and two young children.
