Veronica Pacheco is the SEEDS Program Officer for the College Scholars Program. A proud New Jersey native, she received her Bachelor’s in International Studies from American University, with a concentration in Global Inequality, Development, and Migration. As the first in her family to attend college, Veronica started the First-Generation Student Union to advocate for the needs of first gen and low-income students on her campus. She has had the opportunity to work and intern with various nonprofits, including the Hispanic Federation, the Center for Global Development, and the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey. She has also worked in municipal government as part of her hometown’s Office of Economic and Community Development, supporting programs and initiatives aimed at improving the livelihoods, of the local business and residential community. Veronica is excited to work with SEEDS and give back to students in her home state, providing crucial support as they navigate the college applications process.
In her free time, Veronica enjoys reading, baking, thrifting, and has recently taken up tennis and boxing!
