Young Scholars in the Class of 2018 readied for SEEDS graduation by preparing to enter their new middle schools, honing their skills in history, math and English. Meanwhile, Young Scholars in the Class of 2019 began their 14 months with SEEDS in Step 1, taking classes in English and math and getting ready for the SSAT. All Young Scholars enjoyed daily recess, and had the chance to experience several unique events, including a field trip to Gill St. Bernard’s campus and farm, an afternoon workshop creating zen doodles and a day celebrating graduates giving senior speeches. Families also had the chance to experience a day in the life of a Young Scholar, joining their students at Far Brook for the annual Parent Picnic.
Young Scholars in the Class of 2019 also began Saturday classes on September 8 with the annual Independent School Fair. Young Scholars and their families met with representatives from day and junior boarding schools to learn more about potential school options.
