Save the Date For Guidance's Annual Spring College Tour

The Guidance Annual Spring College Tour is coming up, so now is the perfect time to review what to prepare before visiting campus.

The first step is to make sure you compile a list of things that are important to you in a school so that you have a better gauge of each school when visiting campus.

Next, research each of the schools you will visit thoroughly so that you can ask questions that will help you get a better idea of what each school has to offer. There are many facets to a university outside of what you see on a website and brochure. In effect, being prepared and knowing important details will help you develop a better understanding of each school’s culture and its unique offerings.

College is an all encompassing experience that can include living, studying and working in a new environment. You want to think about your likes, personality, and learning style when you’re visiting schools so that you have a keen sense of whether or not you believe that you would thrive in that particular environment. If you are open minded and consider each college or university as a potential option, you will have a strong idea of what school(s) may be the best to compare later and decide which may be ideal for you.

The Guidance Spring College Tour is scheduled for the week of March 17, 2014. We will be visiting the following schools: Sarah Lawrence College, Vassar College, Bard College, Williams College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Union College, Skidmore College, Colgate University, Hamilton College, Syracuse University, and Cornell University.

Please contact Khaleel Atiyyeh at katiyyeh@njseeds.org and 973.643.6422 extension 232 if you have not received the registration email and are interested in joining us.

We very much look forward to another successful and productive Spring College Tour!
