Young Scholars Participate in Arts Curriculum

This January, SEEDS’ Young Scholars kicked off twice-monthly workshops with the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey. In each session, Young Scholars participate in an arts workshop, following a morning of academic classes. To date, projects have included completing self portraits and creating “healing hands collages.”

Young Scholars also take part in regular Brown Bag Lunch sessions with SEEDS graduates. Two in the series have already taken place. The first – “Not Over Yet” – served as a motivational session for Young Scholars as they begin to conclude their time with SEEDS. This past Saturday, the second session was on “Gender Relations.”

For the second year, Young Scholars will also work closely with the team from Sanofi. Beginning in March, Young Scholars will receive monthly visits from Sanofi volunteers conducting hands-on STEM experiments. Stay tuned for photos!
